I’m *so* looking forward to cats for the anti-Creeperness of them (not actually a huge fan of cats IRL, but I can tolerate them in MC if they give Creepers the Fear) and excited by the Jungle biomes (house in a tree, you know it!).1.7.3.3.1. Redpower For Minecraft Beta 1.7.3 Upgrade To 1

I’m going unimod – I’ll upgrade to 1.2 once Equivalent Exchange updates and run with just EE. Switch game modes and control time, weather, and more.I am looking at changing things up with the next LP series. Save and load entire inventories. Create & customize items, including those not available even in creative mode.

How often sounds good? Every 5 episodes? 😉 byIt’s official, I’m closing down my Minecraft Beta v1.8.1 Let’s Play series (will upload the last of the currently recorded footage, another 20 episodes or so, but won’t be recording any more) and moving over to Minecraft v1.0. It’ll be a whole lot easier for me to release worlds when there’s only the one mod installed. Expect regular world downloads for this new season. So, I’m looking forward to “PMUK Plays Minecraft Season 4”, and I hope you all will too.P.S. #minecraftchums, I’m going to be getting my server running 1.2 and EE, so it’ll be a lot easier for you all (and I) to get up and running without “ID Conflict” problems like I had for my current series (and basically stopped me running the server with 1.1).Finally, it’ll be (rightly) called Season Four by all rights the current LP should be called Season Three, and this’ll be the fourth lot of Minecraft LP videos I’ve done. Plus, waiting on a single mod to update is a lot easier than waiting on ten or more to update (in addition to the pre-reqs, that is…).Oh, and it’ll (potentially) be SMP.

Redpower For Minecraft Beta 1.7.3 Mods In It

I’m pretty sure I can get by without IC 2 (and the many IC 2 additions), but there’s no way I can have BuildCraft without Zeldo’s AdditionalPipes piping costs to replicate what I currently have would be astronomical.FURTHER UPDATE: There’s a Zeldo’s AdditionalPipes that’s compatible with 1.0 release. At least Multiplay (who supply my server) have a “1.0 with Buildcraft” profile now (even if I couldn’t get it to work in very limited testing yesterday). For my PMUK Plays series on YouTube, I’m starting to wonder if I can live without IC 2… Would slow crafting and only one ingot per ore upset me that much?UPDATE: Well, I went mod-by-mod through through my list, and I’ve hit, what for me, is a deal breaker. There’s even a truley lovely TooManyItems for 1.0.For SMP 1.0 things aren’t quite so nice, since EE isn’t SMP compatible yet (and necessarily, no IC 2 either). My YouTube Lets Play series is getting interesting (at last), and I’m using a dozen or so mods in it, all of which I’d want to continue using in a future move to 1.0.However, my chosen SSP mod list is becoming 1.0 release compatible by the day RedPower 2, BuildCraft 2 and Equivalent Exchange 5 all now work in release (thanks to updated Modloader, ModloaderMP and Minecraft Forge releases, and the tireless and diligent work of the mod authors), I just need IndustrialCraft 2 to become compatible and I’ll be in complete hog heaven. I had originally intended to keep the save to myself until the series was over, and that time is now (ish…) byI’ve been quite deliberately holding off updating to release (1.0). Other than that, given I’ll be out of the UK for 2 weeks over the coming festive break, and I’m not taking my gaming rig with me to record videos, it’ll be the start of January (first weekend at a wild guess) before I get started on the series proper. And finally, for those of you that care, I’ll be making my v1.8.1 save available for download.

Sure, v1.8.1 is out and has it’s pretty NPC villages and all, but when you’ve dug out a half dozen 80×30 mob grinders on a half dozen maps, the thought of digging out yet another starts to grate. We live in hope (both direwolf20 and myself)… byWARNING! This post will suggest you downgrade! Don’t worry though, it’s easy to come back to current… 🙂I’d been getting bored of Minecraft recently. My only annoyance/upset? No Equivalent Exchange for SMP (yet…). Right now, it’s a default Bukkit server running on vanilla 1.8.1, but I intend to install the various machine mods (IndustrialCraft2, BuildCraft2.2, AdditionalPipes, RedPower2, Wireless Redstone, PortalGun, etc., etc.) so it’s as close as I can get to my current SSP build that’s right, I’ve stopped using the Technic2 pack.See, it turns out that quite a big chunk of the Technic 2 pack annoyed the hell outta me once I’d spent more than a few days playing with it (Mo’ Creatures, Millenaire) and moving over to the mods I did like, along with a few more, in 1.8.1 so I get the very latest versions of the mods I like, has kept my interest for far longer.Since I really like the camaraderie and challenge of SMP, I’m going to try to capture as much of it as I can before Minecraft goes gold. I might just “officially” upgrade my LP series to 1.0… byActually, it’d be more accurate to say I’ve got a Minecraft server (and Ventrilo server) from Multiplay, but I’m not ready to have friends on yet.

*Tons* more food stuffs, and the food stacks now (plenty of people unhappy about these two…)On the server side the big change is a new “console” that shows memory usage and online players as well as the log given I’ve already updated my server to v1. Not too sure what’s changed as I’m at work and unable to run it to find out. That’s right, the first tranche of Minecraft v1.8, the so-called “Adventure Update” has been released to beta for real, along with the accompanying server.Lots of new features to play with, including (but not limited to): Having said that though, someone has thought of that too, and a further tool lets you patch your Minecraft installation back and forth with relative ease. Finally, if you do decide to take the plunge and install Technic, in addition to watching the Yogscast videos, can I humbly point you at Garfu’s excellent Minecraft: Technic Modpack Guide byUpdate: The first patch to the v1.8 release has also been released. You can build machines to mine/quarry for you, pass the results through pipes to automated crafting benches, and have them send their output to auto-stacking chests, all without the need for any further player interaction after the initial set up.Now, all this loveliness comes at a price, and that price is you must be running v1.7.3 to have the many mods working in harmony.
